It has been confirmed that ITV are to make a 5th series of the hugely popular "Sun, Sangria & Sex" award winning sitcom. This will be great news for all fans of "Benidorm" and especially as veteran actress Joan Collins has let it be known that she would love a cameo role following in the footsteps of Cilla Black, Sue Pollard and Denise Welsh amongst many - it has become somewhat of a cult to appear in the show ...... Joan Collins' last soap success was Dynasty back in the 80's.
The filming of a 5th series will certainly be welcome in Benidorm - each episode of the hit comedy causes a "surge" in holidaymakers booking trips to the resort. Darren Litten has confirmed that he will be writting some of the scripts inconjunction with other writters.
