To shop or not to shop in Benidorm on Easter Sunday?

Today,  being Easter Sunday and  with Spain being a "Catholic" country I am suprised that the hypermarket "Carrefour" in Benidorm (Finestrat) is open for business - especialy as most Sundays they are closed! They tend to open on Sunday's during the peak summer months of July and August and also in December.

In the UK the 1994 Sunday Trading Bill was passed allowing small shops under 280sq mt to open BUT large shops over 280sq mt are prohibited to open on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day - whichever day of the week it falls on.

Perhaps they are open as Benidorm is such a high tourist destination ? So if you do need something rest assured that they are also open tomorrow, Easter Monday and next Sunday, 1st May..... and for those of you that DO celebrate Easter - Happy Easter!
