Karting TrackIf you fancy a bit of a thrill then head to Karting Finestrat - located just behind Carrefour Hyper-market and the La Marina Shopping Centre in Benidorm.
Set up on the mountain side with beautiful views over Benidorm, the 1km asphalted track is designed with plenty of bends and curves to test your skill behind the wheel....and there is also a separate specially designed children's circuit .

Boys racingIn 2011 they even filmed part of an episode of the ITV hit comedy series "Benidorm" here - series 4 episode 3. Madge was challenged to a 10 lap race around the track by mafia boss "Mr Pink", played by Melvyn Hayes - probably most remembered for his role as Gunner Gloria in "It Ain´t Half Hot Mum". Here a group of stags are wearing their pink t-shirts!

lads ready to raceIt is a fantastic group activity - especially popular with stag groups but hens also give the chaps a run for their money! When you arrive you have to sign a disclaimer and then go down to the track to pick out a helmet. We advise that you take your valuables out of shorts and leave them with either one of your group that aren't karting or put into a bag and leave behind the bar as things tend to go flying around the track as you swing around the bends.

You are given safety instructions on how to drive the kart before whizzing off, so don´t worry if you have never driven one before! In fact, you do not even need to have a driving license to be able to have a go! Start slow - you have a 10 minute warm up session but remember which number car you get in as the times are recorded by car number.

winners podiumAfter the warm up laps you have a break and they print off the times - then line you up accordingly at the start line ... which is why you need to remember which car you were in! At the end there is the podium presentation, with the winner feeling like a Formula 1 winner, spraying a bottle of bubbly over the runners up.

group enjoying lunchThere is a bar and restaurant with views across the track if you are just watching your other half, where you can enjoy a drink or even have some lunch afterwards.... if your stomach can take it after all that adrenalin rushing through your body!

Stretch limoBut the best bit is that they also offer FREE transportation from the Benidorm area for groups - imagine being picked up from your hotel or apartment in a blacked out stretch limo! We can arrange it all for you...

  • Tequila shortage +

The price of your Margarita or Tequila slammer is likely to rise following a shortage of agave, the plant used to make tequila... and it's unlikely to get any better until at least 2021. The plant takes aprox 8 years to mature and harvesting them too early produces a poor quality spirit.

The plastic pump dispenser on liquid soap bottles can't yet trigger sprays on cleaning sprays can. Laminated foil pouches can't either - used for crisps and sweet wrappers neither can multi-pack yoghurt pots.
