Re-Enactment of Normandy Landings

200 members of Codex Belix – an association dedicated to recreating historical moments in time will take you back in time to the D-Day landing this summer.

The 3-day event will take place on Fri 16, Sat 17 and Sunday 18 JUNE in Benidorm.

The highlights are as follow:

Thursday 15 June:

5pm – Opening of exhibition at Benidorm Town Hall “Anniversary of the Normandy Landings”

Friday 16 June:

5pm – Armed Forces and Military Stands open to the public at the Town Hall square.

6:30pm – Parade of military vehicles through the town.

11pm – Musical performance of the 1940’s next to Town Hall square

Saturday 17 June:

10:30am – Opening of stands at Town Hall square

11:00am – Retro military vehicle parade through town

1pm – Parade of women’s WWII military uniforms.

7pm – Historiacal re-enactment of “The Normandy Landings 1944” on Poniente beach

10pm – Musical performance of the 1940’s next to Town Hall square

12 Midnight – Spectacular light & sounds of “D-Day Normandy Landings” on Poniente beach.

Sunday 18 June:

10:30am – Opening of stands at Town Hall square

12 Noon – Military vehicles and troops parade down to the battlefield

1pm – Historical re-enactment of “Operation Avalance – Salerno 1943” on Poniente beach

1:05pm – Musical performance of 1940’s next to Town Hall square.
