Entrance to the Terra Natura Wildlife Park

In its quest to attract more families to Benidorm a totally new and exciting concept is underway. Terra Natura Wildlife Park and Magic Costa Blanca hotels have joined forces and are constructing the first themed leisure resort along the Costa Blanca - within the grounds of Terra Natura.

The Magic Costa Blanca group has a wealth of experience as they already have 12 hotels in the resort.
The jewel in their crown must be the luxurious 5 star boutique Villa Venecia in the Old Town - which recently made it into the top 20 best hotels in Spain. Others include the Villa del Mar overlooking the Poniente beach, the Magic Cristal Park, Aqua Magic Monica Holidays and Magic Aqua Rock Gardens.

The new resort is being built on a 40,000 square metre plot within the park grounds - which will overlook the wildlife park and consist of 250 Balinese style log cabins. There will be a mixture of one, two and three bedroom cabins, all offering panoramic windows to admire the wildlife, making it feel like you are on safari.

The diggers are already on site and have started excavating after the first foundation stone was laid yesterday by Javier Garcia, President of the Magic Costa Blanca and Alberto Gaforio, Manager of Terra Natura.  The project will be sympathetic with the environment, fitting with the parks philosophy of "preservation and conservation of the environment". The cabins will be totally portable and recyclable and blend in with the surroundings.

The project is estimated to cost in the region of 10 million euros and completion and first bookings are planned for Easter 2015.
Several travel operators have already expressed an interest to include the resort, to be named "Magic Aqua Terra Natura" in their 2015 travel brochures.


Those staying will have the advantage of free access to the Wildlife park and adjoining Aqua Natura water park - sure to be popular with families.
There will also be additional benefits of staying such as special night safaris, environmental workshops and animal monitoring for its residents.

In today´s Mail Online an article reported that Thistle Hotels in the UK conducted a survey on holiday peeves and complaints. Coming in top of the rants was rude hotel staff a la Basil Fawlty style, second was arriving at your hotel to find the room still being cleaned and third was being forced to pay for wi-fi! Lets hope that Magic take note - especially about the wi-fi. In this day and age of social connectivity, with everyone updating their statuses umpteen times a day, being charged extra for wi-fi may well put people off - especially families with children, which is their target audience!
