A name that all Brits are familiar with is Specsavers - a leading UK opticians found on most British High Streets. But they also have stores across Europe and eight branches in Spain - one of which is located on the Calle Gambo in Benidorm.

As well as being a business they do their utmost to support the local community and have joined forces with the local Lions Club. Store Director Phillip Morgan told me it is important to integrate into the community and help wherever and whenever possible. Over the last three months they have jointly campaigned to collect 3,000 frames, which will be shipped out to the developing world to help those unable to afford glasses. They have already collected 1,456 pairs of glasses, donated in the first month and hope that with everyones help they will achieve their goal.

As a way of thanks, Phillip would like to invite everyone to a party to celebrate the branches 2nd birthday on Monday 9th December with drinks and snacks, special offers & discounts throughout the day and a fantastic prize draw to win a pair of designer glasses... and obviously hoping that you will bring in any old unwanted glasses to support the very worthy campaign. Lets all try to help them reach and even surpass the 3,000 target - well done Phillip and the team on Calle Gambo. The Brits always do well when it comes to charity!
