Levante beach this week - packed in mid October!
Benidorm is experiencing its warmest October in years - in fact, Wednesday of last week was the hottest recorded day in October for over 100 years with the mercury hitting well over 30 degrees and still remaining in the 20´s at night!

Everyone is revelling in it - the locals, businesses and especially the holidaymakers, who could only have wished for slightly better weather than back home on landing at El Altet.

Even the cooling water mists are still on at the Rovers Return
Those that are coming out for the October half term this week will hopefully still experience this unseasonal warmth - it is never cold at this time but certainly not as hot as it is presently. People are still swimming in the sea and the cable ski and banana boat are both full of people.

It was fantastic that last weeks RBL Poppy Appeal Launch had such beautiful weather... although a little too much for one of the Standard bearers who passed out having stood in the full sun for some time.

Unfortunately Aqualandia water park is closed, although they did stay open for an extra week but you can visit Terra Mitica and Mundomar, both of which have some special spooky Halloween shows on until 3rd November. It seems strange thinking about Halloween when it is still so warm - normally you associate that time of the year with being cold and all wrapped up against the elements whilst the children go trick or treating!

It seems even more bizarre to see Christmas lunch already being advertised whilst you are walking around in shorts and t-shirt, smothered in suntan lotion and enjoying an ice cold beer - but that is exactly the scene here in Benidorm! The Rovers Return are taking bookings and Showboat in the Rincon are already fully booked - and they have two separate sittings!

For those due over I hope that the weather remains sunny and warm - and for all the rest, don´t get too cold and wet back in Blighty! Bet you wish you´d booked to come over now don´t you....

Beautiful sunset last week.
