Yesterday evening Benidorm held the annual Moors & Christians festivities - its 25th anniversary since the town started celebrating, following in the footsteps of neighbouring town Alcoy, which holds the best and biggest parade.

Both locals and holidaymakers lined the entire route and the Mayor, Agustin Navaro together with other Town Hall dignitaries and organisers of the parade sat in prime position to watch the parade pass by.

It was slightly late starting - the advertised time was 8pm, but as it was such a pleasant and mild evening no-one seemed too bothered. There were far more lines of men than women in this parade - obviously the Benidorm boys like dressing up!

The next party in Benidorm is the town´s Fiesta - which starts on Saturday 9th November and finishes with a huge firework display on Wednesday 13th November, followed by what has now become the legendary British Fancy Dress Day the next day - Thursday 15th. Thousands attend in all manner of costumes - congregating in and around The Square and Calle Gerona.
