Tony & Oliver greeting fans this week

With filming of the sixth series well under way in Benidorm, ITV have issued a press release outlining what to expect - a most unusual step as normally they are very cautious about revealing details of the storyline or who is due to appear! There is always speculation about who will be appearing in the must sought after cameo roles - in one series it was even rumoured that Joan Collins was to appear... they nearly got it right in that it turned out to be Kate O´Mara - who played Cassandra in Dynasty as the sister of scheming Alexi Colby, who WAS played by Joan!

As I reported last week, actor Roger Lloyd-Pack - most fondly remembered as Trigger from Only Fools and Horses was filming on location along the Levante beach in a scene with Tony Maudsley, who plays camp salon owner Kenneth and Adam Gillen, up until now Solana´s handyman. However, in this new series Liam joins Kenneth at "Blow & Go" - the in-house hair & beauty salon within the Solana resort.... that´s sure to throw up some hilarious storylines.

Nicolas Burns who played hen pecked Martin but is now single, will be returning with a loud and lairy stag group - very appropriate as Benidorm IS the Stag & Hen capital of Europe... we see them almost every day here! Another making his return include Matthew Kelly as Cyril Babcock, Joyce Temple Savages past love interest.... Two new actors which will be seen making cameo appearances include Ken Morley, who by coincidence played Sherries husband Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street and also Philip Oliver, who for 7 years was Timothy "Tinhead" O´Leary in the Channel 4 soap Brookside.

A new "Cockney" family also arrive at the resort - the Dykes, with husband Clive played by Perry Benson - best known for his role as Henry in "You Rang, M´Lord?", wife Tonya played by Hannah Waddingham - who is an acclaimed theatre career and two children, Bianca and Tiger played by Bianca Powley, best known for playing Daisey in M.I High and Danny Walters. Will they become best friends with he Garveys or will sparks fly when they meet.... Michael Garvey is certainly a grown up "adventurous" teenager now - how will he hit it off with Bianca and Tiger?

Everyones favourite barman Mateo still there

They have been filming at Morgans Tavern - Neptune´s Bar all this week with fans patiently waiting outside for a glimpse of the cast.... and they have been very obliging, popping out and even having pictures taken with some of them. Next week they will be around the pool area of the Sol Pelicanos hotel - so those of you lucky enough to be staying there, you will certainly be bumping into them as they head between their dressing rooms in the hotel and the pool location!
