Benidorm town hall commemorated Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee by lighting up the 20 meter tall ´Tecnohito´ tower, located at the end of the avenida Meditarraneo with a congratulatory message alomg with other billboards.
Two images of Her Majesty were flashed – one from 1952 and a more recent one followed by a moving union jack and the words “Congratulations HM Queen Elizabeth II”.
A number of bars decorated with bunting and balloons, holding celebratory parties for the Brits with entertainment and many revellers dressed up to mark the occasion over the weekend.
Some holidaymakers even bought their own decorations to hang from their hotel balconies to mark the special event!
