Benidorm Palace hosted “Save My Life 11” this afternoon (Sunday 28 April) – a charity fundraiser to raise much needed money to help towards the cost of rescue, fostering and rehoming abandoned animals – predominantly dogs.
The event was once again hosted by popular duo Paul Thacker and Mark Simon Ellis, performing as his alter ego Miss Ruby Rox, in an array of spectacular glittering dresses and variety of equally eye catching wigs!
A stream of top entertainers took to the stage throughout the afternoon, all giving their time for free for this very worthy cause. They included Beauty & The Beast, Nikki Miller – as Soul Girl, Tasmin Euriona Roberts – who debuted a song written specially for the event.
Also performing was Dean Ryan as Liam Gallagher, David Climent from the Palace who performed 2 fantastic acts and visiting guests, comedienne Crissy Rock and straight off London´s West End Lee Ormsby.
The team of raffle sellers, headed by Fresh Radio Spain DJ Vikki Caton shock their buckets for the opportunity of winning some fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses and there was also an auction, with 5 lots which alone raised nearly €1,500.
Additionally, it was announced that Ruby Rox had collected €6,740 from donation tins after her performance at the Riviera Music Lounge since the last event last year. The generosity of all those that attended was remarkable and sum raised was an incredible €30,819!
The next Sunday night special takes place on May 12th - "The McCartney Songbook", featuring the music of Paul McCartney, Wings & The Beatles. Tickets available at the box office.
