The 2024 Royal Britsih Legion (RBL) Poppy Appeal launch took place in Benidorm this afternoon – Saturday 19 October and as in previous years, the Torrevieja Pipes and Drums took pride of place followed by the immaculately turned-out Standard Bearers.

The entire procession attracted applause from bystanders along the Levante promenade, many standing with respect as they passed under the full blare of the sun. There are more than 4,000 members of the RBL in Spain with more than one thousand in the Alicante province. Following official speeches the national anthems of both Spain and the United Kingdom were played.
