One of the reasons Benidorm remains so popular with British visitors is because of the value for money it offers. All Inclusive holidays - the bane of many business owners, is favoured by families because as the name suggests it includes everything, which when holidaying with children is an attractive option. Many hotels in the resort have become solely All Inclusive - and it´s not hard to see why it appeals.

But many also plump for the self catering option, giving them the flexibility of eating somewhere different every day as it is so cheap here in Benidorm.

But our cheap breakfasts, which have been around for years are obviously starting to catch on in the UK, as yesterday I read that the first "PoundCafe" has opened in Merseyside and offering a One pound breakfast! Newly opened in Kirby, they offer a four item breakfast menu with a choice of egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, baked beans or tomatoes... additional items can be bought for an extra 25 pence with drinks at either 50 pence or one pound.

The PoundCafe is part of the PoundBakery outlet, which already has 60 stores in the North West but has had mixed reviews from locals, with some questioning the quality of the products used. However, at the price offered it is sure to be a hit and will regenerate the area.

Bargain breakfasts are hugely popular here and are on offer everywhere. Walk around the streets of the Rincon de Loix area of Benidorm and I bet that you´re never more than a stones throw away....

But its not only the breakfast that is cheap here.... you can also get a three course meal WITH drink for under 5 euros! I think it may be slightly more difficult to et that back in Blighty - especially with wine or beer included in the price. So you see, you don´t need to go All Inclusive and end up eating the same "buffet style" food day in day out. Mind you, with the Eurocrats on the war path, who knows if these open style help yourself buffets will be allowed to continue!

Now that´s what you call value!
