As I arrived at Morgan's Tavern, aka Neptune's Bar, the road was almost blocked by the swell of fans waiting eagerly for the 2 o'clock book signing session. What a turnout - some fans had arrived at 11am wanting to be the first in the queue to ensure that they got their copies.
The books for the signing - 400 copies - had only arrived last night ... imagine the senario if they had got lost en-route!
Inside, the stage at the front had been set out with tables and chairs ready for the Benidorm cast to arrive - and pots of pens, which looking at the crowds would be needed.

Alittle after 2pm the doors were opened but some disabled fans in wheelchairs had been let in ahead of the crowds and made their way up to the stage to be the first. Oh the delight on their faces was wonderful to see. Derren was the first in the line then followed by the rest of the cast ..... looking at the size of the crowds I almost felt sorry for them and was sure that they'd get writters cramp before the end. Each book was passed around so that every cast member signed it and they were only too happy to pose for photographs with their fans. This was going to be a LONG afternoon .....

The book signing finished an hour later than scheduled - at 5pm - and every copy was sold and signed.
