Aqualandia – Europe´s biggest waterpark opened today, Thursday 1st June. After a number of weeks of very unseasonal weather in the resort, with days of thunderstorms usually associated with March or April, everyone breathed a sigh of relief that that sun has finally made a comeback.
The beaches were all packed, especially the popular Levante beach with many British families still here for the school half term taking full advantage - probably relieved that at last they could entertain their little cherubs! The unseasonal weather of late has certainly been challenging for many but fingers crossed, the sun is now here to stay!
There was a steady stream of excited visitors arriving all morning to enjoy the numerous waterslides and rides. The park has a special June offer for visitors (valid until 30th), with a joint pass to enter Mundomar next door and also the Terra Mitica theme park or various combinations of the three parks.
Alternatively a day ticket is €39 or €34 per adult if booked online or €29 for children aged between 4-12 or €26 if pre-booked online – under 4´s go free. There is a huge free carpark or take public transport, with the No 01 and 11 buses - €1.60 per journey, both going to the entrance.
