The annual Medieval Market is up and running in Benidorm this weekend – located in Dove Park at the beginning of the Poniente beach in the old town. On until tomorrow evening (Sunday 12th) there are plenty of stalls, processions and demonstrations of bygone crafts.
The stalls have a variety of artisan goods for sale such as jewellery, leather goods, soaps, trinkets in addition to a number of food stalls with hams, cheeses, olives, herbs & spices, dried fruits and teas.
To add to the authenticity, many of the stallholders are dressed in period costume too. For those that are feeling a little peckish there is a bbq with a delicious selection of ribs, sausages and suckling pig plus a Moorish tea room with a variety of sweet things.
Dove Park can be found at the end of Passeo de la Carretera, or the 'walking street' as many refer to it. It’s just something a little different to see and sample whilst here in the resort and certainly unlike anything you´d see back in the UK!
