Benidorm was all shook up this weekend as it hosted a spectacular three-day Elvis fiesta, drawing fans from all over to celebrate the life, music, and legacy of the King of Rock and Roll. The event featured some of the world's top Elvis Tribute Artists (ETAs) - Juan Lozano, Darren Jones, Aaron Walker, Cote Deonath, Gordon Davis, Blue Angel, Michael Glaysher, John Mencis, Louis Brown, Jay Dupuis, Ciaran Houlihan and Emilio Santoro turning the town into a buzzing hub of sequins, slicked-back hair, and timeless rock 'n' roll.
At the heart of the action was the Melia Hotel, which served as the main nerve centre of the 3 day event, with non-stop performances, themed parties, and meet-and-greet events that kept the Elvis spirit alive around the clock. There was even a point where one Elvis was watching another perform!
On Saturday afternoon the poolside venue of the Melia hosted the "American Road Trip" show and a "Boot Scootin" line dancing session which went down phenomenally with the fans, most embracing the American theme, dressed with stars and stripes.
The Rock and Roll House and the Tropical Bar also hosted a range of high-energy shows, keeping fans going well into the night.
A highlight of the weekend was the performance by Benidorm’s very own Simon Patrick, a hometown favourite and a standout on the international ETA scene. His electrifying sets had audiences cheering for more, proving that the King’s legacy is alive and well in Benidorm.
The grand finale took place this evening (Sunday night) at the iconic Benidorm Palace – a fitting venue for a truly majestic celebration. The evening brought together all the ETAs for a phenomenal tribute concert that had the packed house clapping, dancing, and singing along to every classic hit.
From "Jailhouse Rock" to "Can't Help Falling in Love," it was a night to remember and a perfect ending to a weekend of pure Elvis magic. Benidorm once again proved it knows how to throw a party – and when it comes to celebrating Elvis, it’s nothing but a hound dog... in the very best way.
