Benidorm – or specifically calle Gerona, transformed into a sea of green in celebration of St Patrick´s Day today. Bars all embraced the occasion, with bunting, balloons, flags and shamrocks decorating their terraces… it´s just a shame that the weather didn´t co-operate!
The last few weeks have been unpredictable, with Benidorm receiving their fair share of rain and sadly today was no exception. Yet despite it all, the crowds seemed to take it all in their stride, with green plastic poncho macs matching the colour of the fancy dress many opted to wear.
The Guinness certainly flowed as the Rincon turned into a mini Ireland for the day. Following on from the Cheltenham races and rugby, it´s been a good week for the resort – there are a few more days of unpredictable weather but no doubt we´ll all soon be moaning that it´s too hot!
