British Ambassador to Spain visits Benidorm

Yesterday, Giles Paxman, the British Ambassador to Spain visited Benidorm to hold a working meeting with the Mayor, Agustin Navarro. He was accompanied by the British Consul, Paul Rodwell who's last high profile visit to the town was to jointly present an award to Derren Litten, writter and creator of the hugely popular ITV series "Benidorm" with the Mayor

But not for good..... this short trip back to the UK has reaffirmed (not that I really needed to) that the grass IS definitely greener on the other side - well in my opinion. I departed from Alicante on my "favourite" airline, Ryanair... and I'm not be facetious when I say that, just in case you are wondering! Looks like the new Police Commissioner, Juan Carlos Hernandez is definately trying to clean the town up and taking crime and security seriously, which has been a concern over the last few years for the British.

The Spanish Guardia Civil have arrested a restaurant employee who has allegedly been duplicating the credit and debit card details of customers who ate at a restaurant where he worked in Benidorm.
