He is absolutely delighted and honoured to have been asked to play – a venue he has dreamed about having been there a number of times. He has a fantastic repertoire with a particular fondness for 60’s icons such as Chuck Berry, Jersey Boys and Elvis, which will complement The Manfreds superbly.

  • The sound of the 60´s will once again come to life at Benidorm Palace for a one night special performance on Sunday 8th March - with not one, but three legends of the era. The Foundations, remembered for their iconic hits such as ´Build me up Buttercup´ and ´Baby, Now that I´ve found you´ will be joined by Dave Berry, fondly remembered for his melodic hit ´The Crying Game´ and Vanity Fare who released ´Early in the Morning´ and ´Hitchin´ A Ride´. I was lucky enough to speak with two of the performers ahead of the show – Alan Warner of The Foundations and Dave Berry.

  • The Palace was a total sell out last night with virtually every seat taken – it’s been a while since I’ve seen even the very back row jam packed. Liverpool funnyman Stan Boardman opened the show and quickly had the entire venue roaring with his not always so politically correct gags which everyone loved. After an interval the fabulous Walk Like a Man quartet took to the stage, suited and booted, to a rave reception from the entire room and many ended up dancing in the aisles.

  • Benidorm Palace will once again be hosting a one off double spectacular this Sunday, October 25 with two very well known sounds from the 60´ - "The Fortunes" and "Walk like a Man", which is a clue, as it is also the name of one of the groups top hits. Over the years the Palace has presented a number of fabulous original 60´s bands such as The Tremeloes, Swinging Blue Jeans, The Searchers and The Merseybeats - always a sellout.

  • Next Sunday, 3rd November the legendary 60´s pop phenomenon "The Merseybeats" will be performing at Benidorm Palace - and I mean the real ones not a tribute band which are the norm here!I had the privilege of talking to Tony Crane, the original founder member of the group during the week and admitted straight away that I hadn´t even been born when they formed, instead growing up with the Bay City Rollers and Osmonds.

  • The 60´s pop band "The Searchers" are coming to the Costa Blanca to perform at The Benidorm Palace for a one off special show on Sunday 21st April 2013.Originally founded in Liverpool back in 1959 by John McNally and Mike Pender, the four piece group changed members over the successive years. But John McNally, the driving force remains as the sole original member of the group.

  • The swinging 60’s will come to life at Benidorm Palace on Sunday, November 18 for a one-night special performance of ‘Twist and Shout’ - a fast moving musical show featuring music and fashion of the era. This two hour musical extravaganza features 53 iconic songs, starting with the explosion of 1962 Brit Pop through to the Flower Power era and Free Love of the late sixties. As the literature says “When skirts got shorter and hair got longer” - where peace, love and flower power ruled the day!
