For a first class night out, do not miss the opportunity of going to Benidorm Palace - it is probably the most visited attraction in Benidorm and you are guaranteed a night to remember. They produce a new show every year, featuring a troupe of dancers with the most amazing costumes are are ever likely to see - but this year they really have surpassed themselves. The new show, "EFEX" as well as being visually stunning will leave you totally spellbound.

Unique dance tecniques

This year Artistic and Creative Director David Moore, has made the show modern yet technically very complicated, with a real fusion of Spanish and Oriental. There are no venues which I can think of that will have dancers performing upside down - yes you read correct, suspended and still stamping a dance routine... that is some upper body strength! The elaborate costumes alone are worth seeing the show for - with numerous changes throughout the evening. 

The Twins FX

This year David has enlisted The TwinsFX to help create some simply stunning visual effects and illusions for the show - making it the largest effects show in Europe. Identical twins Paul and Gary are "The TwinsFX" - leaders in their field, who have worked with all the major television and film companies worldwide. They spent six months planning and developing the illusions, some of which were made and constructed in America then transported to Spain on a 45ft artic lorry. The brothers have trained David Climent to perform the somewhat dangerous and very technical illusions for the new show. 

Helicopter appears on stage

David Climent, who is the son of the owners, Christine and Vicente has become an integral part of this new show. Last year he successfully mastered the laser show, which he still performs, lighting up the entire auditorium as well as being the ringmaster at the Benidorm Circus every Saturday night. He has been trained by the twins, sometimes up to 6 hours per day to perfect routines which normally take years to accomplish. He cuts a body in half, makes an assistant disappear and somehow makes a helicopter appear on the stage - with many of the routines seamlessly integrated into the dance routines. It will certainly leave you enthralled and gripped, trying to work out how he did it!

Brand new LED show

The popular strong men are also back, performing their spectacular slow motion routines to imposing dramatic music. There is also a brand new LED number, with dancers clad in special LED suits which they perform in a darkened auditorium - it is definately ground breaking and a totally new concept. How they are going to up their game for next year is going to be a hard task - but something which incredibly David Moore is already working on!

Riverdance routine back

The troupe of dancers switch seamlessly from one number to another - and the return of the traditional Irish Riverdance number (which was absent from last years show) goes down exceptionally well with the audience, with a prolonged applause at the end. The costumes are refreshingly new and original, mixing denim with traditional fabrics, bringing a modern twist to the show.

Oriental twist

For the first time the Orient has come to the Palace, with some stunning and original numbers complimented with beautiful kimonos, lanterns and fans. No attention to detail is spared - even the make up and wigs are perfect with dance routines complementing the enchanting music.

You will certainly come away at the end of the night enthralled after the spectacular show. You can either make a night of it and have a superb meal beforehand or just go along to the show, which starts just after 10pm. The resident band gets everybody up and dancing during the interval - all in all, a highly recommended night out.
